Fr. John Nankivell, ChairmanFr. John chairs the meetings of the Board of Directors of Orthodox Christian Books. He was ordained priest in 2000 and serves the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyatiera and Great Britain as priest of the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God, Walsall, West Midlands. In order to free himself for work in the Church he took early retirement from his position as Principal of the largest Sixth Form College in Birmingham, the second city of England. His first book, on St. Wilfrid of York, was published by SPCK in 2002 |

Nicholas Chapman, Managing
Director
Nicholas is the Managing Director of Orthodox Christian Books and the Executive Director responsible for Sales, Marketing and Finance. He graduated in Business Management from the University of Aston in Birmingham before entering the Tax Inspectorate. He subsequently became a Senior Corporate Taxation Manager with one of the largest accounting firms in the world. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 he specialised in the taxation of East/West joint ventures and established his own Tax Consultancy firm. During the 1990’s he also worked in a number of voluntary and paid capacities within the Orthodox Church in the fields of humanitarian aid and religious education. |

Fr
Gregory Hallam,
Company Secretary
Fr. Gregory is the secretary to the Board of Orthodox Christian Books. He was ordained in 1995 as a priest of the Antiochian Orthodox Diocese in Western and Central Europe and serves the Orthodox community of St. Aidan in Levenshulme, Manchester. He is the Company Secretary having qualified as such in a previous employment with the Midland Bank, now the HSBC Bank PLC. Father Gregory served as an Anglican priest for twelve years before becoming Orthodox in 1995. |

Nina
Chapman,
Executive Director
Nina is the Executive Director of Orthodox Christian Books responsible for Operational Management. This includes Customer Service, Warehousing and Computer Systems maintenance and development. She is a U.S. citizen who has lived in Britain since 1988 when she married Nicholas. She graduated in linguistics from the University of California (Santa Barbara) and has been employed in a number of roles including teaching and customer service. Prior to moving to England she served as Western Region coordinator for the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women of North America. |

Bishop Kallistos of Diokleia, non-Executive DirectorBishop Kallistos is a non – Executive Director of the Board, bringing to its meetings his vast experience of the Orthodoxy, the wider Christian world and academia. A widely published writer and popular speaker he was until his retirement Spalding lecturer in Eastern Orthodox studies, Pembroke College, Oxford. He continues to teach and lecture widely whilst also serving as an assistant Bishop in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyatiera and Great Britain.

Dr. Graham Speake, non-Executive DirectorGraham is a non – Executive Director of the Board, bringing to its meetings his vast experience of publishing together with his many contacts with Mt. Athos, the spiritual heart of world Orthodoxy. He is the Managing Editor, Peter Lang U.K., a company within one of the world’s largest academic publishing houses. He founded and serves as Secretary of The Friends of Mt. Athos. His latest book, Mt. Athos: Renewal in Paradise was published in 2002 by Yale University Press.

Anne Roper - Accounts/Customer Service AssistantAnne’s is often the voice you will hear answering the phone and dealing with routine enquiries. She works to keep our financial systems operating on a contemporary basis, ensuring that all sales, purchase and nominal ledger transactions are recorded in a timely manner, bank statements reconciled on a monthly basis and credit control systems maintained. Previously she worked in a similar role for an engineering company and a cinema. |

Fr. Samuel Carter – Goods InFr. Samuel is responsible within Orthodox Christian Books to ensure that all deliveries are received as invoiced and in saleable condition, together with their pricing and placing in our warehouse. He was ordained in 1996 as a priest of the Antiochian Orthodox Diocese in Western and Central Europe and serves the Orthodox community of St. Michael in Audley, near Stoke-on-Trent. |
